My inspiration: the love of stone
Carreg Cariad, meaning 'stone of love' or 'the love of stone' in Welsh, truly embodies the essence of my creations. I am inspired by the beautiful arrays of ethically sourced natural gemstones and cultured & freshwater pearls that mother nature provides. Each piece is crafted with a 'wow' factor in mind, designed to be unique and to turn heads. Crafted in my small workshop studio within my home in Wrexham, United Kingdom. Every item reflects immense care, effort, and attention to detail, a testament to my perfectionist approach. Most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, ready to find their forever homes and be cherished for years to come.

The creative journey: from sketch to sparkle
My creative process often begins with an idea, sometimes sketched out, sometimes evolving as I work with the natural beauty of the materials. As a perfectionist, attention to detail is paramount, ensuring each curve, bead, and setting is flawless. Crafting a single piece can range from an afternoon's work to several weeks, particularly for intricate beadwork or elaborate headpieces like bridal crowns and tiaras. The complexity of the design dictates the time, but the dedication to creating something truly exceptional remains constant. Each item is a labour of love, ensuring a piece you will adore.
From handmade gifts to ABBA's royal moment
I’m a passionate crafter who loves to give. If you follow me on social media, particularly TikTok, you may have seen that over the years I’ve created and gifted special pieces to people I’ve admired throughout my life. It’s my way of giving something back and saying thank you for the joy, inspiration and memories they have given us. I’ve had the privilege of sending my handmade creations, particularly my pearl jewellery, to some truly special people. I’ve sent pieces to all four members of ABBA in Stockholm, as well as Bucks Fizz (now known as The Fizz), Nancy Sorrell, Kate Bush, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Toyah Willcox, Keith Brymer Jones and his lovely partner Marj.
One of the most incredible moments came on 31 May 2024, when ABBA received the Swedish equivalent of a knighthood, The Order of Vasa, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Agnetha was photographed wearing a pearl necklace I had made for her.
To see her choose to wear the exact necklace I created on such an important and historic day for ABBA is something I will treasure forever. For me, it was the most wonderful acknowledgement that my little handmade creations can bring joy to people who have brought so much joy to others.
My story has also attracted media attention. I was approached by a journalist from the Daily Express, who interviewed me about my gifting journey. The article was published on 9 December 2024, followed by coverage in my local newspaper and online through Wrexham Leader Live on 10 December 2024.
What started simply as my way of saying “thank you” has become an incredibly special journey, and I feel very lucky to be able to share my creations with people who have inspired me throughout my life.
